A studio that already works with talent may want to connect its roster to an AI video product. The integration should preserve the studio's source of truth and make each asset's permission usable by the application.

01

Preserve the studio's authority

Identify which organization owns the talent relationship and which roles may update rights evidence or terms. The API should not transfer authority merely because it receives a roster record.

Use tenant-aware identifiers and scoped credentials. A client application should not be able to query another studio's people, media, or agreement details by changing an asset ID.

02

Map fields before syncing

Compare the studio's existing fields with the consuming product's needs: asset ID, rights holder, evidence reference, allowed use, exclusions, term, status, and version. Document what is authoritative and how updates flow in each direction.

Avoid copying raw likeness media into the API if a secure provider-managed object reference is sufficient. Keep access, retention, and deletion responsibilities clear between systems.

03

Check use scope at runtime

A roster entry does not automatically cover every client or campaign. The request should be compared with current terms, and material mismatches should be routed to the studio's authorized reviewer.

Return a reasoned status to the consuming app. If the source system is stale or unavailable, show unknown and block the sensitive action rather than relying on an old positive result.

04

Plan a staged integration

Start with read-only sync and test record ownership, versioning, and scope checks using clearly labeled fixtures. Add write operations only after the organizations agree on authority, conflict handling, and audit behavior.

Approved.video is intended to support studio-owned rosters as well as a contributor pool. The product's authorized provider paths determine which downstream actions can actually run.
